Grooming Policies 🐩
In order for your pet to have the best services at our salon, we urge clients to please make appointments ahead of time. The best time to make an appointment is when checking out, we can easily book a follow-up appointment to make sure that your dog grooming needs are met in a timely manner to avoid health concerns such as matted fur or buildup around the sanitary areas.
If you are unhappy with the results of your dog’s grooming, contact us within 7 days and we will re-do the grooming by appointment at no additional charge.
Cancellation Policy ** Important **
In order to schedule grooming appointments for the convenience of our clients, we must make maximum use of every appointment slot. As a small business we are affected greatly by cancelations. If you make an appointment and do not show up for it, the groomer losses income because we do not double-book appointment slots. You also deprive other clients of their much needed groom.
Please notify us at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment of any rescheduling or cancelation. Leaving a message on the business answering machine, a pm, or a text message is sufficient. This allows us time to try to book a replacement for your vacated appointment.
Clients who cancel less than 24 hours before their appointment or who do not show up for a scheduled appointment, will be rescheduled only after other clients have been accommodated. We may charge $20 on your first ‘No Show’, and $40 thereafter. We reserve the right to decline future appointments for clients who fail to show up or cancelled their scheduled appointments 3 times in a calendar year without adequate prior notice.
Please note that if your appointment is on a Monday and you need to cancel, the cancelation must be made by Friday as we are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Matted fur is very bad for the health of your dog and can also cause your dog great discomfort. Matted fur pulls at the skin as it tangles and if you try to wash matted fur it tightens up and becomes more difficult to dematt. If we deem the matts are too difficult to brush through, we will only remove them with clippers in the form of a “smoothie” cut or a blended trim (an attempt to camouflage removed mats with trim). This will be discussed at the time of drop-off. We charge $15.00 for every 15 minutes to remove mats.
Please note that we reserve the right to decline dematting a heavily matted dog. It is too painful for the dog and for the groomer as well.
Late Policy ⏰
In order to ensure that we have enough time to work on your pet, it is extremely important to be punctual for your appointment. If you are late by over 15 minutes we may have to cancel your appointment due to time constraints and reschedule for another day. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your appointment time. Our schedule is very tight and every minute counts when grooming your pet. Ideally walking through the door at your agreed upon appointment time, works best.
Prior to your pets groom we respectfully request you to walk your dog 30 minutes before your appointment time. By doing this it helps keep them calm and also allows them to eliminate so they don’t do that during their grooming session.
Should your pet eliminate or urinate while it is under our care and requires a rewash, there will be a fee of $10 or more depending on the amount of time it takes to rewash. If a rewash is not required we will simply clean it up and not charge any fee, but please be mindful that this fee is to account for the extra time as the groomer/bather will be behind on their schedule.
Special Handling Policy
We will make every attempt to groom uncooperative or aggressive dogs, but we may not be able to complete grooming on dogs that pose a threat to themselves, other dogs or our groomers. A special handling fee will be added to the price due to the risk we take by grooming your dog as well as the extra time required to groom an aggressive or biting dog. We reserve the right to decline a return appointment for dogs whose behavior or temperament makes it unsafe for us to groom them.
An extra handling fee may also apply to dogs with health issues or older dogs as it will take extra time to groom.
Flea Policy 🐜
We do not groom dogs with fleas. If your dog has fleas, please visit your veterinarian for treatment.
